    <sigh>

Cab's bike is French. The French restrict the power on all bikes to a
    hair over (IIRC) 100BHP.

Cab was remarkably easy to wind up over the Frog weekend on the matter,
but appears to have sobered up.

Heh.When I borrowed Verdigris's Zed Thou, he informed me it had 2
power spikes - one at 6.5K RPM, the other at 10.5K. The thing redlined
    at 11K.

Nowithstanding I only encountered one of the power steps.

It certainly didn't feel as lively as the Blackbird.

I'd always thought I'd like a bike with the "go" of the 'bird, and the
    comfort of the Wing.

    I was obviously wrong.

I thought that the ZX12 would be like a 1200 Blackbird
Me too. The 12 is much more like the Hayabusa in terms of power
    delivery.

  10. Um, not yet, but then I've been in South America for the last week.
Still here, even. Who knows what's waiting on the mat?

    Ahh, I didn't realise.
I know, so there's no comparison really.
Well you should be ashamed of yourself for winding him up when he could've
been winding the bike up for the next trip.

Quite so. But, if carefully instructed, the mem-Sahib should be up to an
inspection of the envelopes for what Johnny Foreigner considers a stamp,
    what?

    Of course not.

Perhaps he colud enquire "Is there anything with a french postmark,
    she-TOG?"

Also I only started typing this as I found referring to the doctor as
"She-TOG" amusing for some reason, and had to type it to get it out of
my system, like some kind of Internet tourettes.
