    [of horseradish]

    Much obliged.
A year or so back, P & I did a cookery course (in Bath as it goes) and
one of the things I made was a horseradish sauce. It's the first one
I've ever made from fresh horseradish, and it made my socks curl.
There were only a couple of us that ate it, in the end.

I'm hoping TOG's stuff has a similar effect...

Do you mean it was bad, good, or just overly spicy?

I've had some really good HR sauce in Poland of all places, served
    with pork.

Ah. Sir has tried a bit, has Sir? I trust Sir never makes the mistake
I made, on coming into the kitchen and seeing a load of something
being ground up with a pestle & mortar, of sticking one's nose in and
having a hearty inhale to see what it was.

It arrived yesterday and is now planted. In a large tub for now, so it
    doesn't Triffidise the garden.

  8. Don't count on it. Them plants is tough critters and no mistake. I was
having a bit of a potter in the garden the other day and it seems that
some of the cacti I have growing there managed to survive the coldest
winter on record. So, if you think you have your horseradish tamed you may
    find out you are wrong.

  10. You'll awake to find the pot in shards and an earthy trail leading to a
    remote corner of the garden.

  11. Fine for you rich cunts but some of us cannot afford to use petrochemicals
in such a cavalier fashion. A hoe works for me.
