Iirc, the 500 speed twin was the motor that eventually became the 650
pre-unit, then the 650 unit, then the 750 engine in the Bonneville and
Tiger series. I have also read that it was smoothest in 500cc form.

The 500 engine in the T100R Daytona and the TR5 series bikes was,
    again, iirc, an upsized 350.

The latter engine vibrated much worse than the former, except when the
    larger engine was "hot-rodded."

That makes us suckophants, then. I might start a club - one with a
    FOAD nail in it.

Yeah, but if you opened the ports up it breathed much more freely.

  4. Are you *still* trying to start arguments with strangers on usenet?

  5. You say that like it is a bad thing.

I'm not even sure that RGD is the originator of that particular
    question!

Sigh. I agree with Steve. But when the same person hijacks every
thread you post, they are no longer a stranger, they become a stalker,
    sycophant in a sad way.

What is sad, is that his childish behavior drives away all the fun
people, from DFC to RGD, to Sleazy, to Twibil, to Mark, to Chuck, to
    you, Beav, et. al.

Most of us can call each other names, get in each others face, and
even ridicule each other, yet in the end I know that we'd be all
pleased to buy one an other a beer and share a ride, short or long.

  9. Yep, it's just a question he's fond of posing to others, so I like
    reminding him.

  10. Nope. I was asking Bryan the Suckophant why he's sucking up to a total
stranger (Neil Murray) by re-posting (and cross-posting!) second hand
    links from *somebody else's websurfing*.

What does he think he's going to get out of sucking up to TOG, a cyber
    reach-around?

  11. Sounds to me like you'd be deliriously happy if you were in the center
    of a circle jerk.

  12. The same thing you hope to from racist trolls who post second-hand
    links from their websurfing?

    I'm getting better....

I don't want to go on the cart....

    I feel fine!

    I think I'll go for a walk....

  14. Wrong. I'm *educating* the racists, but you're such a *bigot* anything
I type for *their* edification makes *your* eyeballs cross and steam
    comes out your ears.

Yeah, you are "educating" them all right - you're doing all you can to
make them even more racist than they were to begin with.

  17. I think that Hugh Jeego suffers more from high blood pressure than any
    of the
people he accuses of being racists do.

  18. Heh, heh. All I see is you having your usual hissy fit, as others
discuss motorcycles here - knowing that no one ever poses a question
to you or invites your participation. Normal interactions inspire
jealousy since they remind you of what you don't have here. You play
the interrupting child role because it's the only one left to you.

As ever. he used to revel in credulous newbies ooh-ing and aah-ing at
his so-called tech exp-ertise, and when that was stripped away and
exposed for the sham it really was, it drove him even further off the
    rails.

I see he's been trying to 'educate' newbies on web-based fora now.
    Poor them.

  20. There is *very little discussion of motorcycles in reeky* and it's
    been that way for years.

And for Harley Riders to pretend they know anything useful about
    motorcycles is *ludicrous*.
