That looks quite tidy, but it's a horribly gutless bike. It's just a
sleeved down 550. Quite worthy in its way.

Hm. Very close, too. I might pop by on my way back from work this week.

I had one of them. Right PITA to start on cold mornings - even after
    changing the plugs, leads etc.

Then I stuck a 4-1 system on it - sounded lovely, but unfortunately made
it run way too weak until the inevitable happened.

I wish I had photos of it after it had melted down - it was quite
impressive - there were holes through all the cylinder walls.

One point to watch for, the carbs have little spring loaded sprung steel
choke flaps on them that were prone to snapping, and getting sucked into the
engine, making them a bugger to start from cold.

It was a warranty replacement job at the time but obviously not covered now

  6. better than a twin...
heh. You're just not happy unless you're dealing bikes.

A mate had one when I had the GSX550. We swapped bikes once and the
difference was startlingly obvious to both of us. It was like riding a very
    heavy 125.

It's like a bad habit for some of us. I have to say, I much prefer being
    given bikes for free.

Maybe we should say, "We like trading bikes"
