Just had some details back about the 750SS.

Oil change service 2 months ago.
Cambelts on 8k miles. (8k interval? - seems a bit high to me)
Valves shimmed at the same time.
Specialist was Moto Marelli in Salisbury - allegedly the owner packed his
bags and went to work for the Ducati factory team.....
New clutch plates 12 months ago
New MOT, rear tyre and head bearings last Friday.

Got a few hi-res pics - it's clean as a whistle. As in, someone must have
been using Gunk and a toothbrush on the arse end after every ride.

Can't wait to pick it up on Sunday now.

  2. Well scored. As regards the belts, recommended change interval is 12k,
but cautious people change them before that, so that's a good sign.

New clutch? Blimey, mine's on the original at 30k.

You still in the arse end of South America? - drop me an email with your
current addy (I don't have my Mac with me, so haven't got your current
working addy) and I'll send you the hi-res pics. (about 2MB worth).....

Seriously bloody clean bike - I couldn't get the VFR that clean if I spent
    all day on it.

Yesterday I spent half a day tidying up what has to be the most abused
CBR600 trackbike I've seen in ages. It's the No Limits instructor's
hack and seriously hasn't been cleaned or properly looked over in 3
years. Under all the various layers of shite there was a good
conditioned bike, and it actually shone once I'd squirted half a bottle
of Gericke gel cleaner over the shitiest bits. That stuff is amazing,
it eats through all manner of shite and just hoses off.

    Highly recommended

  5. No need for the pix: I know what a nice 750SS looks like. It looks like
mine did, 10 years ago :)
