    Go for it!

    If I could do it all again, I would without a second thought. I didn't
    see as much of the world as I wanted, but on the whole I had a damn good
    time :)

    One advantage of being outsourced is that I still have my old leave
    allocation: 30 days.
    Round here, it's more people than brains.

    I don't have timesheets. I tell my boss when I'm not planning to be
    working and he says 'ok' (via email).

    Mind you when I work when on leave it's sometimes done from home as are
    the times I work at the weekend.

  4. There were times past when I had to take leave or lose it but now I
    find myself struggling to fit my social activities into the leave I
    have (25 days). Normally it's expected that we'd save 3 days to take
    between Christmas and New Year but since I had no leave left and had
    already taken 3 days unpaid in November I am in this week.

    It's 20 days including public holidays, so ignoring those you only
    need to take 12 other days to meet the minimum requirements.
