I know it's old hat to do so, but this is a "other bikers were riding
    poorly" post.

I took a run down to West Sussex yesterday (Arundel in particular) and
there were lots of bikes around. Almost all were being ridden
pathetically - i.e. riding slowly in traffic like cars. Why? Why?

One particular idiot stood out - a red/white R1, pulled out in front
of me from a pub car-park, causing me to brake. He (I presume) then
sat behind a car at 40-45mph in a NSL zone for a few miles - I got
sick of this, and overtook him, temporarily pulling in in front of him
before overtaking the car. After my initial overtake, he sounded his
horn, and kept flashing his lights, clearly annoyed. But not annoyed
enough to follow me overtaking the car.

    FFS.

We got rid of the Jeep last May.

    This was in the RX-8.

heh - I know exactly what you mean, but really, the bikes down there
in Sussex were being - generally - ridden very slowly.

Put it this way - I was in the car, and occasionally stuck behind
slower-than-I-liked moving cars. At no point was I overtaken by a
bike, and I saw plenty of them sitting behind me in the rear-view.

Of course, quite a few cars flashed me and honked their horns (I've
already overtaken you, you twat, I know you're there).

I can understand you sort of behaving yourself with a fairly-new-to-it
    pillion.
but this is the bit that beggared my believe - *so* many bikes were
just sitting trundling along at 35-45mph sitting behind cars. I
overtook quite a few (I only mentioned the R1 because he was obviously
the most clueless - if I'd not been paying attention and braked, I'd
have rammed him, he came out of the carpark so slowly).

I've heard some people like to go for gentle 2-wheeled bimbles now &
again. I've even been known to do it myself, though not to the extent
of sitting in traffic on NSLs - that's just fucked up.

I'm not in the slightest claiming to be a fast rider - but I'll
    overtake cars pretty much continuously.
    *exactly my point*.

    I like this new game.

Perhaps he'd just had an entire packet of cheese & onion crisps rubbed in to
    his eyes.

Some of them are just a waste of space to be honest. Why they even get
on bikes I'll never know. I got flashed by a truck this morning for
filtering, ok i was on the other side of the road round a traffic
island. But he was a good 6 or 7 seconds away. I got it on vid & just
re-looked at it to see if i was a bit close, miles away the ****.

My guess is Meryl Streep had just rammed a radioactive hedgehog up his
arse. It's amazing how often that happens. The bitch.

I drove up the A1 from Bedford in the Saab yesterday, satnav says
rolling average 80. It was a lovely day with lots bikes. ONE fucking
bike passed me, I passed the rest. Cruisers, sprotbikes, the lot. One
little bottleneck was being caused by an R1 and a 9R being ridden up
the overtaking lane at 60per. I eventually undertook the cunts, they
were oblivious, that's never happened before. I seem to have woken up
    in a parallel universe.

This posted from Google as Cheesy has misbehaved.
