Arrgghhh. The vagaries of one's SO sorting out (or not) childcare...

So, is anyone interested in buying my gf's place on the French run
next (bank holiday) weekend. You'll have to sort channel crossings
for your bike, but I can't see that being a problem.

My sums indicate that I've paid 127 quid for the place. Someone make
me an offer that isn't taking the piss.

I'm fairly sure TOG will have stuck us in a twin room, but I'll wait
for his cackling form to show up and say otherwise.

Never mind the crap, are you doing the Portsmouth to Caen crossing on
    the Thursday night?

If I'm going by myself, and catching a cold with half an unused
ticket, then no I'm fucking not.

heh. But I'm jolly pleased with the 'busa, and expect to do lots of
solo miles on it. However, I did buy F a jacket and helmet on
    Saturday.

I've just had a business idea. Do you think there's a market for
    kid-kennels?

Sure it'd need qualified child care staff, nannies and whatever but
surely somebody must be doing that kind of thing, somewhere, and yet
    I've never heard of it..

Yeah, you could call it Fritzl's - you'd make a killing.

Ah. For some reason[1] I thought she was in her teens.

I thought I was going to be making a similar post last night after being
nicked by an unmarked bike doing about 85 in a 60. Even pleading that I
was already on 9 points didn't seem to sway him.

I was very, very confused when I woke up.

That was my first thought, I have to confess. That, or the 'Champ's
bitch' experience was too much and she didn't fancy the thought of doing
it again, but for a longer distance/time.

Get round there and slip her one, then. Oh, I see ... that could be
construed as poor form. Dirty Sanchez, was it?

Ah, it's not so bad - my two have experienced UKRM on tour over an
extended period ... twice! They seem to have escaped without too many
mental scars, although I guess time will tell.

C'mon. You know you want to come to France on your newly resurrected
    bike.

For you I make very special price!

  20. Heh, unfortunately I've already had to decline a very attractive offer
of coming on the French run, due to a prior engagement which I can't
    get out of.

Hope Donald knows what he's letting himself in for...
