We're planning a spring time ride from Dallas down to the Big Bend.
Plan to spend however many days it takes to do the ride right.

Would appreciate any suggestions from riders who have done it before.

    Best routes.
Best sights to see along the way.
    Best eats.
    Best lodging.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You might contact Jim Thurman of Big Bend Bikers group:
I figure he and the other folks know a lot about Big Bend country, that is
if you get past all the spam messages left on the MB recently . I did
notice that there's a few folks who posted where to go, what to see and do
and *where not to go*, in the Big Bend area.

Have fun, ride safe and Happy Thanksgiving. :)

Our last trip was a blast. Can spend 3 good days in the BB area riding 3
good loops. We only got 2 in. Best time is late April, flowering and not so
hot temperatures. Carry plenty of water with you.

    Day 1 Y.O. Ranch Kerrville 877-967-3767 - go via 16, excellent Hill
    Country riding.
Day 2 Del Rio Best Western in Del Rio 432-837-1530. Do some of the 330's
they are the best scooter roads in Texas.
Day 3-4 Study Butte Motor inn 1 800-848-2363. Right outside the Park. 3
major loops so you can have 3 great days of riding - The Park, River Road
Loop, and Davis Mountain Loop. Each about 300 miles, but you make lots of
stops and tend to ride a little slower on the twisties. Edelwiess brewery in
the Holland House Hotel is my favorite for chow and Texas Black Gold brew.
Day 5 Sunday House in Alpine 432-837-3363.
Day 6 Y.O. Ranch in Kerrville again.
