I'm looking for information on plastic surgery following a bike accident. My
forearm and elbow has healed quite a bit .. but i'm sure the deepest scars
will remain unless I consider doing something about them. (Thank god for
    GLOVES and HELMETS !!)

Has anyone had experience with the cost and results of plastic surgery ?

Hell...this a serious issue. Don't ask here. Everyone who has had
plastic surgery (and there wouldnt be many here,.. except for Nevs
facelift) would have had different injuries to you and would have
different results. As such their opinions are limited in assistance to
you.. If you have deep scars then plastic surgery won't fix that. If
they're surface scars then its clear that some difference can be made,
but you'll never be a hand model again.
Go talk to medicos... and more than one or two.

It is all about the skill of the individual surgeon.

What city are you in ?

That's not really correct. There are things that can be done with deep
scars. Deep scars are probably where most of the benefit lies in treating
    someone with disfiguring injuries.

I was thinking more of cosmetic surgery I guess. Corrective plastic
surgery does have the ability to fix deep scars to some degree. But
its surprising what they can't do either.

  7. ....and if they're the type that don't, you can always use those same scars
    to gross them out.
