Yesterday afternoon I put a new battery into the bike and rode to the
Platyfest. First ride in over a year. Wow... I rode like a pussy for
the first 60 miles, gently opening it up more. I went mostly via the
A4 in perfect riding coditions. By the time I swooped down into
Bradford-on-Avon I was tipping right into the bends and grinning from
    ear to ear... Im back!

Platyfest was fun, with some really dodgey ukrmers, some of whom I
hadnt seen for years. Much alcohol and various types of meat-ina-bun
consumed, lots of bollocks talked. I crashed around 1-ish, the others
    around 3-ish.
There were 1 or 2 sore heads in the morning... By 11-ish, most were
    able to think unassisted.

Shortly after mid day I headed off to meet friends at an embroidery
exhibition near Marlbro' (whatever youre thinking it was
mind-blowingly good!) followed by a long social dinner in Devizes.
Around 10-ish i left for a wonderful moonlit ride along the A4 and
    home.

Thanks for the overnight slow-cooked belly pork/bacon
butties/coffee/fruit juice/pain killers Richard. It has mostly been
    great weekend...

I had a glorious ride down, taking Maidenhead - Wallingford - Wantage -
Cirencester - Stroud route. The ride back was even better, hanging a
right at Wantage for the B4494, one of the best roads I know.

Managed to shave a full hour off the Tomtom prediction in both
    directions too. Ho ho.

There was a thread a week or so ago that said it had been and gone...

    Yes, there was:
