    | Bugger I guess I deserve that for not being careful enough with the
    wording.
    |
    | The change from STX1300 to ST1300 I meant, not the presence of ABS.

I try not to post, but just be a lurker, (and laugh a lot; thanks Guy's)
    but.....

The STX 1300 was only used in Europe to describe the ABS Braked model which
also had an Electric Screen. The Pan European moniker is used interchangably
with the ST or STX1300 Nameplate.

The model was released in Europe a year before the Australian Models
ST1300/ST1300A, the X was not used in our marketing.
The European bikes had a re call to change the front O.E.M. tyres due to
stability issues, compounded by the Electric Screen's extended height.

My ST1300A was a scary ride, with the screen up at around 160KPH during
    overtaking .
It was like a boat without a rudder.
It was one of the worst bikes I have owned, but a gem c/- the Yam. XJR1200.
