  1. Truly bizarre.

According to a rozzer: "Police had not been notified in advance of the
    numbers expected to attend."

Well, that's fucked the Ban Collie Day sales at B&Q, Homebase and every
bloody garden centre, hasn't it? If they don't know how many people are
going to turn up, Plod goes in with truncheons.

Twats, both the shop and Plod.

And especially the crowd. Apparently, some thought that rushing the
door is appropriate behavior. And the audio on the vid - "This is so
funny." Until the truncheons came toward them.

And on the flip side. Whilst visiting the olds in North Thoresby
yesterday we popped to Ludborough to see the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway
steaming[1] we were gobsmacked to see 3 coppers in attendance and 1
PCSO. I mean, what were they expecting? Riots from the few dozen railway
visitors trying to buy a ticket?

    What a waste of time.

[1] I attended one of the first ever meetings of "we need to rescue this
railway" about 20 years ago, so very happy to see visitors and a decent
experience and now enough rail to connect the next "station".
