Nobody has ever told me that my Ducati sounds like an SP1.

40,000k and no problems so far

  6. I love stuff like this. I especially love it when customers complain when
something "Hasn't worked since day one". It only makes them look like
idiots for not bringing it in during the last 4 months, then they say
something along the lines of "It used to work now it doesn't"

    Idiots.

I gave up fixing computers for the people at work. Some people really *are*
too stupid to own a computer.

Electric typewriters for the lot of 'em...

I mailed a membership invoice to a company six weeks ago. On Wednesday
I had the following email from their accounts person.
Her to me. Can you tell me for what period this membership is.
Me to her. The 2003 - 2004 Financial year.
Her to me. I need to know from which date to which date.
Me to her. 1/7/03 to 30/6/04.

Duh! A person working in accounts who doesn't know when a financial
    year is?

When I was a Bigpong user Telstra suspended my account three months in a
row. When I asked why they didn't e-mail me to notify me of the impending
shutdown the first time, they replied; 'We sent you a letter...'

Australia's biggest *Internet Service Provider* sent me a *letter*...

Duh! You'd want to get an email explaining why your internet access had
    been cut off?
    ;-)
    Moike

(... actually, that is what I'd expect. Telstra have a site where you can
check how long the current interruption to internet access is expected to
    last.......)

    That's the one.

I drag out my work dialup when I need to look at it, but I don't know what
    all the other punters do...

No, just that they intended to cut it off would be sufficient. (Yes, I saw
the smiley...) Then I could e-mail them copies of my receipts in return so
that they wouldn't. Or fix up any other misunderstandings.

Three months in a row. Deleted the web site each time too.

Then they asked for a reason why I was cancelling my account with them...

We had a problem at work with Telstra. I wrote to their Corporate Office,
told them I wouldn't deal with their call centre after a great list of
unfulfilled promises, and had upright Telstra citizens in suits busting a
    gut to help.

I was mildly impressed, but they still wouldn't give me a direct phone
    number.

Has anyone else noticed that the only Telstra account you can't pay by
Postbillpay or similar is the Broadband account? Weird.

When I ring Telstra now and get the computer that you talk to, I just say
'Operator'. It asks again, I say 'Operator', It transfers me to the
Promotions department and I ask the girl there to transfer me to the billing
    section...

  16. Well... the bigpond broadband sat has dial up internet access bundled ... so
if the sat is playing up we can use the dialup by itself to check. So for
sat users it isn't quite as silly as it seems. [1]

    Geoff and Jodie

[1] no i'm not posting this from that sat account before someone points this
    out :)

I've got a nominated Telstra account person with a name, a direct

    emails back within four.

On Friday one of his assistants called me to say that she thinks we
can reduce our mobile bills by $220 a month and could she come and
discuss it with me. Anytime Kelly.

We do give them $6000 a month.

Ya gotta laugh at these news groups...
How the hell does a legitimate question go from Power Commander --> Internet
    connections????
This IS a forum for motorcycle riders is it not???
All I seem to see in these threads is complete and utter crap!!
Just in case most of you cant figure it out.... When you reply to a message,
It actually shows you the Subject of the thread... (in this case Re: Power
Commander) ... it doesn't however say anything like.... Re: Speak about
    anything crap here!
