Pipecraft in Basildon have just done a fairly significant realignment
job on the Remus de-cat pipe on the R1150R. Not just bend it, but
fabricate a new stainless section to replace the outlet pipe and magic
    it all back together again.

    £25 all in.

    I'm a happy chappy.

It actually sounds like I'm being chased by an angry biplane. I'll not
be taking it go Germany in a hurry. [1]
Bell were up for it, however their approach required me to do one visit
so they could decide if they could go it, then make an appointment to
drop the bike off and arrange to pick it up a few days later.

As that would have meant 2 return trips to Swindon and a return rail
journey when they had the bike, the Pipecraft option was far preferable,
what with them having an R1150GS jig and being happy to do it all by
    post.

[1] what with it being a BMW etc

You could have at least made the single trip to Basildon, and then
popped-over for a cuppa and a bacon sarnie.

Sounds like you got a result anyway.

I could, but the bike's typically in the west country and I've been in
London a lot and needed the cage.

It's a bit hefty to pop on the roof rack
