Pretty sure its not supposed to do that.

One of my Supa 5s was becoming more and more reluctant to start and idle
properly of late. This morning it was in a real half day closing mood.
Oiled plugs, sputtered, stalled and wouldn't respond to threats or
    cajoling.

When I got it running and to the workshop for a little points and timing
adjustment I took the generator cover off to be met with a minor flood of
    petroil.

Which I'm fairly sure points to crankcase seals. Which is a pest.

Fortunately the engine concerned is one of the 'pool' engines which gets
passed from sick Supa 5 to another. Unfortunately that bikes 'real'
engine is on the bench. Actually its on the bench in several boxes. I
suppose I'd better get on with rebuilding both ...

Mr Eaton, you know those drawings I sent you. The ones with tools that
make rebuilding Supa 5 engines easier. How are we looking ...? [cue
    sugary smile]

You have reached Eaton Altruistic Engineering Enterprises.
Unfortunately the workshop is currently quiet and dark due to the
absence of all Eatons. The schedule for the near future includes
visiting Monkey World, followed by several European countries in the
course of paid employment and on return, going back to France to get
    pissed with uk.r.m.

Further ahead, more work-related foreign travel is indicated, with
little chance of a return to the workshop of significant duration.
Popping in to pick up a change of underwear is seen as possible, but
opportunities to energise the milling machine in the next month are
severely limited - to the point of non-existence.

In short - **** you, sonny.

Thank you for listening to this recorded announcement. You may now
return to the main menu by pressing 1, hear this message again by
pressing 2 or terminate by slamming the receiver down in a fit of
pique. Have a nice day, now.

    **** me, I've got a PA[1]!

Pip's summary is, unfortunately, all too accurate. And I have a job or
three to do for Team UKRM before the end of May too.

Shame, because the MZ stuff does look interesting, and I *will* get
round to it. But not in the next few weeks.

[1] No, not *that* sort of PA, the other sort...

Don't think I was hassling, I'm really grateful you've offered.

It's just as of the bikes has failed I wondered how the tools were
looking. It can wait. It's not as if I'm short of the bloody things.

    :^)

I didn't. It are a pain the arse when the damned things break, and it
are bloody handy when someone steps into the breach[1].

TBH, I'll need a certain level of hassling, because otherwise it
disappears under the other shit that wants to take my life over. Feel
free to remind me towards the end of May.

if I tell you to **** off, this is not a good sign... ;^)
