The ex-Blaney CBR600F-W saw daylight for the first time in a very long
time this morning. It's been parked up and not been anywhere for about
18 months at least due to illness, lack of funds and general laziness.

This week I have some spare time, so I pulled a few bikes out of the
way and dragged it, literally, out into sunlight so I could refresh my
memory about what needs sorting before it goes back on track.

    The list is:

Replace rear tyre, it got punctured when it fell off the paddock stand.
Wire up the TDM900 right switchgear fitted to replace the CBR one with
    redundant lighting switches.
    Clean carbs.
Fit seat unit properly - entails making a bracket to support the rear.
Fill dent in tank and paint all bodywork (to incorporate a little brown
    paint somewhere)
Make a new gearchange rod and a little bit to mount the rear m/cyl cos
s/hand rearsets didn't come with either.
Remove rear brake fluid res and fit HRC one (pricey bit of pipe and a
    plastic plug).
Get new rear braided brake hose made to suit rearsets.
Send forks to Darren at MCT for revalving and new springs.
Cut excess bracketry off swingarm cos it'll never have a chainguard or
hugger fitted again, then repaint swingarm silver.
    Make heelplates for rearsets.
    Service engine properly
Paint all four wheels before fitting new Pirelli Supercorsas and wets.
Replace wheel bearings in wheels with wets on.
Remove as much redundant wiring as possible, including non-functional
    alarm system.
Refurb braking systems front and rear.
General check over everything to make sure it won't fall off or fail.

I think that'll keep me busy for some time.

I kicked it... very hard, in anger at something totally unconnected.
The bike went over and the rear paddock stand hook went straight
through the sidewall. Tyre was fucked anyway, it was sliding badly out
of every corner at the last trackday I did on it.

Believe me, I have a very very long fuse before I let go to that
extent. Whatever it was must have been of monumental importance for me
    to get that angry

You could put a smear of brown paint on the seat to amuse passers
    by....

When I lived in Ealing virtually opposite a chip shop a nice punter thought
it would be funny to squirt a wide streak of brown sauce along my bike seat.
Luckily I noticed it in the morning just before what would have been a very
    messy leather jeans/seat interface.
