Nice. Guy can ride a bit - certainly embarassed the plod rider a couple of times. Now if he'd realised he had plod on his tail I think he'd have had it away in no time.
hmm I thought his riding was a bit scruffy to be honest, poor positioning etc.... and there's no way he couldn't have known there was a plod bike after him with the reflected blues flashing everywhere. -- Steve Parry BMW R80RS, 03 BMW R1100S Boxercup, 07 BMW K1200GT SE 00 BMW R1150GS, 87 Yamaha FS1, Sukida SK90PY, 91 Kawasaki AR50, BMW 330Ci www.gwynfryn.co.uk
Well it could have been better, sure. Ah, I didn't look closely enough to see he had blues going. That does change things a bit, to be sure.

Naah - he had the faster bike but I think plod was a better rider. Despite being on the faster bike he couldn't shake off the plod.
I've only watched half of it, but I don't really see a problem with it. Apart from not spotting a big beemer or pan in your mirrors and not thinking "might that be the filth?", that is. Certainly there was nothing *dangerous*, otherwise plod wouldn't have followed suit.
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, AOL. In fact, I'd go further. The only *really* dangerous overtakes I saw in that clip were by the plod bike. -- Wicked Uncle Nigel - "He's hopeless, but he's honest" I have already made the greatest contribution to the fight against climate change that I can make: I have decided not to breed. Agreed, he looked to be holding it together relatively well. Not the prettiest riding, but not the worst I've seen. OTOH, 100 in a 30 is taking the piss somewhat...
I dunno, I thought his riding was pretty shit. Corner lines were shocking and some really silly risks taken. Plod seemed to deliberately take it easy in a few places to avoid putting himself in danger. Obviously an unmarked bike though, and personally I think there was a bit of entrapment there as the plod didn't pull him after the first few offences, he let him rack up a serious amount of stuff. The rider was pretty fucking dumb not to think there was something odd about another rider following him so closely through all of that, but never once attempting to overtake. I'd liked to have seen the end of the video with the pull.
I don't think he had blues on. And as I said earlier, I think it was an unmarked bike. The only time there appears to be a use of lights is when the plod gets baulked by the Vectra on the dual carriageway, then he flicks the flashing headlights on. I tried to see if there was any reflection of blues in the cars as he passed them but couldn't see any.
Maybe the camera angle was misleading but I thought he made himself "the meat in the sandwich" a couple of times. I breathed in sharply around 6:48 and 8:06, for example. Either the cop was unmarked and the rider in front thought he was just another biker out for a play or else the cop bike was marked as such. If the former, I'd ask: are cops allowed to do 130+mph without blue lights and sound effects? (I really don't know the answer to that.) If the latter, the speeding rider's rear observation is fairly dreadful, bearing in mind the clip lasts nearly eleven minutes. Whenever I stray over the speed limit for more than a few moments and I realise there's something behind me apparently trying to keep up, I assume it's either (a) a cop or (b) another idiot, so I slow down slightly and try to make room to encourage him to get in front of me where (a) his radar won't work (will it?) or (b) he can't ram me up the arse. Either way I think it's safer to have these people in front of you where you can keep an eye on them.
Yes, if they have reasonable cause to do that sort of speed. There's absolutely no link between speed and B&2 usage. They even do it on training runs - as I found out one time when three of them asked me to try and keep up with them in a run up the A5 to MK.
I see risks I would have taken was I was 22, but not now. I don't need to ride like that in traffic to get a buzz. The open roads bits, fair enough, but the in traffic stuff was silly IMO.
