    Then this turns up!

Turns out that good old Goldies are about as rare as coppers when you don't
    need them.

  3. I've been looking at this one as well. It all depends on the milage and
condition (Wings will run over 100k with no complaints, if cared for).

It looks all original (yellow ones are indeed rare) except for the rear
shocks. The seat looks dead, but a million companies make aftermarket
seats for Wings. The exhaust is OE.

Some corrosion here & there, but superficial.

Avlue? If cleaned up, with (say) 60,000 miles on the clock, something
    like ukp1200/1300.

  4. Bloody brilliant. Buy them *both*. Swap all the good bits (stainless
exhaust, seat, etc) onto the better of the two, and then flog the donor
bike. Saves *a lot* of hassle in hunting around.

This one's even got steel brake hoses, I see. Shame about the bars.

Only a bargain if you get it/them at the opening price....

  6. Check his feedback. 3 negs in 4 sales is not encouraging, especially
when one of them is for the same bike and reads "I would like to view
bike as described rather than the piece of junk delivered". Evidently
this person refused to buy it and the seller has relisted it.

Ian Northeast tried to scribble ...
It would certainly make me view the bike _before_ bidding. It may make it a
few quid extra that way, but at least you can be sure .. ;)

I noticed the same thing happen a month or so ago when Alan Lee put
his Guzzi Targa up on ebay, two others swiftly followed.

I watch out for Guzzi stuff and Targas appear very rarely - to get
three in a month was a surprise.

Loz, leave the nice old man alone. A GoldWing would be right up his

  15. coo, that looks nice. assuming the photos are up-to-date. Don't think I've
ever seen a yellow one, and indeed GL1000s are getting thin on the ground
    now anyway.

    like the throw-away line:

    but there y'go.
Bet it hasn't got reverse. I'll feel cheated.

"The breezy call of incense-breathing Morn, The swallow twittering
from the strawbuilt shed, The cock's shrill clarion, or the echoing
horn, No more shall rouse them from their lowly bed."
