Fitted a pair of Micron race cans today, I had to buy some ear plugs. They
    are very loud.

How not to fit Micron Race cans:
Upon reading the instructions do not decided that it does not make sense and
    try a different way.

How to fit Micron Race cans:
    Follow the instructions.

It may just be the noise but the bike certainly feeling a bit beefier.

Micron claim a massive weight saving. I suppose percentage wise it is but
each pipe is just 300 g lighter than the standard. They also claim more
power, there may be some truth in this.

  5. Mate of mine has got Acro's on his. With a PC and TRE. He needs to get
it on the Dyno though. We shall see. Mines got a PC and TRE plus a
LeoVince can. Not in loud mode though. We'll probably do a dyno in Swindon.

I quite like the look of the Leo Vince. Which model 10R do you have?

Buy another C2 then. I'm sure you'll still be able to find a new one
somewhere and you don't have to ride like a **** to get away from
everyone who wants to point and laugh at the ugliness of the newer
    models.

  8. It's an 05 model. The nice looking one :) I've put a Penske on it as
well. It now handles a lot better over bumpy roads.

  10. To be honest there's not a lot of difference in th two. Both bounce you
out of the seat over bumps. Good on smooth roads though. He's fitted an
Ohlins to his. As Champ says, plenty of power standard. It's getting it
down that is the problem. You can't just snap the throttle open like on
the ZX9, Oh no, It'll stand on end :)

It's softer than my Gixxer low down but when the power kicks in it does it
    with a bang. I had wheelspin in 3rd yesterday [1]. I reckon on about 160 -
165bhp at the rear now. I'm fairly sure 170 is achievable with a K+N and PC.
The bike is really lovely and I love the way it just snaps forward when
cracking hard up through the gears [2] the acceleration is relentless. The
PC should beef up the lower end.

What have you done about steering dampers? I should get round to buying
and fitting one, but haven't a clue where to start. The last time I
thought about it was just after the TT last year.

They can also be completely rebuilt, even by the owner, and come with a
    lifetime guarantee.

It didn't crop up that much, and although I remember mentioning it once
or twice, it's not been a horrendous problem every time I go out.

Researching how to set the suspension up and having a fiddle with that
    will probably help too.
Those are the ones I remember being recommended at the time, but I've
never had a damper on a bike before so I wouldn't know. I'll have a
mooch round and see how cheap (or not) they are.

Well, ?299 seems to be the universal price for a GPR, but there was a
site sponsoring Chris Foster, so they're looking favourites there.

They're not the most asthetically pleasing bits of kit either, so it'll
    have to be black.

There are Ohlins dampers on eBay: Item # 160071560579
You could always get a GPR one quite cheaply from the US: Item #130069529327

ISTR reading that the Sprint damper is literally the previous model of
    Ohlins damper rebadged anyway...
