  3. If they'd somehow died of too much fucking, or diseases related thereto, I
wouldn't be overly concerned but someone's going round actually killing
them. That bothers me a little.

I do. I don't visit prostitutes because I don't feel any need or desire
to, but I regard them as human beings, the same as you or I. Someone out
there is killing them, I find that tragic.

  5. That 2 deaths have been linked and a third may still be? I imagine
women in the area, whether working in the sex trade or not, are
    somewhat concerned

Apart from anything else, simple supply and demand means the price is going
    to go up...

I still remember the effect on women that Peter Sutcliffe had - not
driving or walking alone at night being one.

    Yeah, I care.

He's taking life because he enjoys killing.
If anyone thinks he's going to stop at prostitutes they are likely to
    be mistaken.

These girls are our mothers, our daughters and our sisters. The fact
that they are sex workers is irrelevant. The fact that there is some
evil, twisted animal out there murdering women is what I care about.

I think it highlights even more the necessity for legalised, safe,
    brothels.

Legal, safe, *taxed* brothels. I'm sure that nice Gordon Brown will
    think of it soon.

  17. I don't see why they'd be any more deserving of sympathy than the 3
women a week who are murdered by thier partners and don't make it into
    the headlines.

  19. And where, precisely, did anyone say that they were? The reply was to a
possible suggestion that prostitutes murders were less important than any
    other.
