Some of those perms are pretty challenging you know. Not easy to achieve
in one step. Champ probably draws up a project plan, Gantt charts, that
kind of stuff. Then gets someone else to actually apply the lotion.

    It's progress. Of a kind.

The future's bright; the future's Orange.

Never did go down that well as a slogan in certain bits of Belfast.

I think they originally called themselves Hutcheson here. Now back as
    Orange

Well that was the company name back in their 'Rabbit' days. As one of
only a couple of hundred privat Rabbit subscribers I was offered a
refund or a subscription to their not-yet-launched cellphone network
when they finally decided to give it up for a bad job. It wasn't until
another year or so that they came up with the 'Orange' name.

Hutchison Telecommunications was one of the original names of the
company, in general, not just in NI.

Indeed but they were already branded Orange on the mainland

Not related to Jardine Hutchison, were they? Also HK based.

  13. Not sure. I never really got to grips with all those HK companies after I
stopped selling to Korea. (And I'm desperately trying to recall the Chinese
    term for them. Arg.)

Jardine's were (are?) a very old HK company with their fingers in just
    about every pie.

Jardine's were (are?) a very old HK company with their fingers in just
about every pie. Jardine Matheson, for example, was one of their older
concerns, and act(ed?) as P&Os shipping agents there for decades.

They were, I believe, the model behind the Struan family/company as
depicted in James Clavell's Noble House novels, so yes, I suspect
    you're correct.
