OK so how does this work out. I downloaded the 6 episodes. I can't get the
7th because I'm out of Creds. I left the 6 seeding but if nobody is
grabbing data from me (1), and they aint, I'm riding a dead duck into
oblivion.

Also, WTF does the website know what my particular uTorrent client is, or is
not, doing.

I expect because I've got more important things to be thinking about I'm
being a thickie about this

(1) well, only 6-700 kb

 

It's the Ratio Police, no doubt. Use trackers that don't GAF about such
nonsense instead.

They will, especially if you leave it seeding overnight for the yanks.
Try right click - Force Start on the torrents to help them on their
way, & check your settings for max upload slots/speed etc.

Because the trackers tell it. Obviously it only knows about its own
torrents.

 

Everything is set to seed but nothing moving.
Config must be ok because I've seeded many gigs back to PirateBay links,
unless there is something particular about TVT

 

You could always bung them a couple of bucks and boost your account that
way.

 

TVT uses quite a good model for ratio credits - you get twice as much
for uploading as you do for downloading. Works pretty well and still
encourages seeding.

RevTT, otoh, is a complete ****.

 

Picking one at random, I see 800-odd seeds and a handful of leeches.
That's why you're not uploading. Just leave it seeding for a few days
and you should have some credits again.

The answer, as always, is patience.

 

Nothing special about it, there's just hundreds of seeders & only a
handful of leechers at the moment.

 

It's also far & away the best organized for grabbing whole series, or
new episodes as they're added.

 

It'd be nice if they ran separate RSS feeds for PD and HD versions of
stuff though - then I could just set uTorrent to automatically download
without ending up with duplicates.

 

Heh, I'm quite happy with them as my main torrent source. A ratio of 1:1
is easily achievable.

My office PC's going fulltime too, but throttled to 10kbs by Speed
Scheduler from 7am to midnight so I've got enough bandwidth to work.
I've trashed my credits recently by downloading lots of complete old
series that nobody else wants anymore.

So the link I get is unique to me and they can track my seeding via that ID?

 

I believe so. If you open the .torrents with a text editor, you should
find they've all got the same number near the start. My guess is that
number's unique to your user id, so when the tracker scrapes the
torrent it knows it's you.

 

So ePlod could raid their servers and ID everyone via their email addresses

 

No idea, but it's no different to any other private torrent site, &
pretty low on the hitlist iwt as they only host stuff that's already
been broadcast on TV.
