Don't forget VAT goes back to 17.5% so if you have any larger purchases to
make get them in prior to avoid the VAT increase

  8. You'lll struggle to find many companies (assuming they understnad
their tax and reporting obligations) that will be prepared to do that -
it's a bit of a twat to report the revenue on.

The bar ends are usually about £30, the front fork thingies are about the
same & the swing arm jobbie is about £20.

    £50 the lot delivered?

I remember buying a 6 channel RC "combo" on the day before VAT was first
introduced back in 197blah. I didn't have enough money on me to buy it right
then so I paid half and went back the following day with the other half.

Now you've got to consider that if you bought a complete rig including
batteries and servo's, the whole thing was subject to what was then
"purchase tax", but if you bought everything except the servo's, it was
called a "combo" and didn't attract *any* purchase tax. Neither did the
seperate servo's but they couldn't be in the same box.

I'd bought half a combo on the last day of purchase taxy and when I went
back with the remainder of the cash, the **** charged me VAT on the 2nd
half, coz now *everything* was taxed under VAT rules. (Fyi it was a Futaba
which I've still got lying around somewhere)

Pissed me right off it did.
