That's an interesting theory and I've just had a quick look to see if
I could find anything supporting it. Nothing so far.

Post a link or two please.

They felt a bit quick to fall into corners until I'd done about 3
miles and warmed them up then by the time I stopped for a beer after
20 miles I'd hit the Michelin mans head so I think that counts as
    scrubbed in.

It's a bit windy and a lot of the roads I went on today are very bumpy
but stability wasn't an issue once they were warmed up. I reversed a
route I normally only do one way and nearly pissed myself laughing
when I had the front airborne at an indicated 135mph over a small rise
so I'll be going back and doing that trick again on a regular basis.

They do that on their dual compound 'Expert' MTB cycle tyres apparently,
but the aim there is stable but grippy knobs so the soft compound is
over the whole surface with hard rubber underneath.

I could swear that on closely examining my 2CTs immediately after my
last run there was a clearly discernible hairline mark on each shoulder
of the rear tyre where you might expect the join. Disappeared when I
looked again later. Probably a figment of my imagination I thought, but
I just found a thread on a BMW C1 forum which makes me wonder, even
though that is specifically about a scooter 'Michelin Bopper' dual
    compound tyre.

I think will be inspecting them at each stop now to see if the
    phenomenon is repeated.

    Bad form...
On reading the thread properly it seems the 'Bopper' wasn't a dual
    compound tyre anyway.
Still going to keep an eye on them though.
