That sounds like just another day at the office to me, apart from the lack
of "You slap headed ****" rather than just "****". Obviously not aimed at
me, coz I've got a full head of hair, so you can **** off before you start.

You haven't been here long have you. Nor have you paid too much
attention. Bone up on the responsibilities and duties of a KotL before
    you consider opening a list.

Worth noting that newbies generally aren't considered suitable
candidates for list entries as they are effectively virtual patches.

Twaddle. It *looks* like a clique, but really it's a meritocracy.

And there we have it. He's been here like *forever*. Has forgotten
more about bikes and bike gear than you (or any of with the exception of
a couple of other UKRMers) are ever likely to know, yet you feel that
you can denigrate him because he chooses to behave in a specific manner
on line? Get *real*. Before you judge what these people and the group
are like, you really need to get some data first.

I am very thankful for that small piece of

    Fair weather biker are you?

It may be public, but there's no publicly-funded nursemaid to wipe a
newbie's nose and hold its hand and tell it which pot to pee in.

Unless you're volunteering to do it for free?

Me, I'm not that charitable. I've been on motorcycle newsgroups since
before ukrm existed and seen an awful lot of two-week tosspots appear,
    launch a rattle, and disappear.

Very occasionally I spot someone who appears to have a worthwhile
contribution to make, and I'll try to ease their initiation.

  8. Hey, that list has been around for something like six years. I shan't bore
you with the origins, it's all googleable.
    Heh. Like that.

  9. Feel free. :) Like I said, I claim its Usenet invention - and was
acknowledged as the author elsewhere! It is a Very Long Story. And
infinitely far more cliquey than anything ukrm ever thought up.

Problem is that what you newbies to UKRM fail to understand is that most of
the posters on this ng are not purely sad, lonely individuals with only a
computer and one's right hand to keep them company (oh, ok as you were!),
but we almost all know each other IRL and meet up fairly regularly ie we're
friends, hence the robust banter etc.

So, someone coming wading in and not actually lurking a short while to
observe the group dynamics (or even the accepted posting etiquette) is every
bit as rude as someone pushing their way into a group of friends in a pub
    and mouthing off at them.

I suspect it'll fall on deaf ears, but at least I tried ...

Do you realise how sad such quotes make you look? Do you realise they
don't make you look like a great scribe?

If you're complaining about the lack of bike talk here I'll wager it's
not going to be helped by your pompous verbiage.

Moderated web board, that's what this one wants.
It is sweet how the two-day newbie fuckwits cluster together for
comfort, though. Like this pair of soft cunts.
KY. Eases all sorts of difficult entries. Bet you're a Vaseline man,
    though. Old school.
