  1. Yes, fair enough but we're talking twice that. You actually agree with me.

No I don't, you presume too much. $200, 400, seems reasonable to me. Up
to about a grand would be fair. After that, well, maybe, I wouldn't be
    too upset if it was.

The problem is Stephen, you're not in Sydney and you're not seeing what
happens. There are a lot of arrogant twats with enough money that 60 or
a hundred bucks is in a pretty low care factor range, hence they park in
disabled spots regularly (I gave one guy (a couple of years ago) in a
merc a gobful as I saw him park for the third time in three days in a
disabled spots near my then work, no sticker and certainly not obviously
disabled), his response was "I don't give a ****, my time is worth way
more than a $100 bucks to me, **** off" (so I called the council to make
sure he did at least get the fine).

You are kidding? Moral and legal? I'd swallow ethical and legal, but
    moral?

  5. I hear you. My "problem" is that I'm a low income earner and I forget
how little that much money is to others.

pillion was a legit holder and user of a disable sticker...

the disablity would stop them from walking any distance but not stop
them riding or being a pillion..

in vic with footpath parking, it not ready needed or used, but this was
at last years GP at PI

the pillion would give thier left leg (pun intented) to not have to
    have the sticker

I was trying to get Bully to think outside the square...but the only
square he seems to have is the block of wood between his ears

I'm now expecting all 100 km/h signs to have a large notice attached saying
that exceeding this limit by more than xx km/h will result in $1500 fine and
    loss of licence, or crucifixion.

    Theo
Who has done the above but has never ever parked in a disabled zone because
I think it is a more serious offence.

  12. Everyone knows there is a high penalty for speeding.

Everyone knows a parking fine is comparatively small.

This whole thread has proved that to be false, so I don't know why
you're still going on about it.

  16. At the risk of stirring up a hornets nest - why not do what I did when I
used to take Gran (who didn't have a sticker/permit) somewhere: drop her
off at/near the front of the store, then go and park and walk back to be
    with her.

I think you might've just outlined what the magistrate will point to
Bully should he walk into court with a mate who'll claim that he was
riding pillion with a broken femur at the time...

  19. I dunno how he got that out of what you said either, but someone who can
be metric in the first 10 words of a sentence and Imperial in the last
10 obviously has a more flexible mind than most people.

Speaking of obvious: they don't display the fine because it constantly
changes. Sticking up what the legislation says (e.g 33 penalty points)
doesn't help anybody except the persistent offenders, who are the ones
who can do that conversion into dollars in their heads.
