Does the license suspension of 6 months cover states outside of NSW ? I live
in NSW and am moving to WA for a few months, can I buy a car/bike and ride
    it legally ?

What state license do you have and where did you commit the offense
that you got suspended for ?

moving to another state makes no difference, or everyone would have a
license in every state in the country!

Oh, I'm sure that no one outside NSW cares if you are licenced or not.
You will be able to tell the coppers at Eucla "nah, I'm only
disqualified in the place that issued my licence, so of course you have
to let me drive/ride here where I don't have any licence at all."

    This is a serious question?
now go look in the mirror and repeat to yourself.
"I must not ask stupid questions on the newsgroup"
Say it 30 times then just wait till your license suspension expires.

  6. Get yourself a NT drivers licence. There is no points system in the N.T.
If you get pulled over just tell em you are on holiday. Worked for me for
    ages.

It depends on the state. For example I do not think this applies to
Tasmania as they opted out of the shared points database (mainly due
    to cost)

You then need an N.T. address to "live" in, and have someone forward all
    your rego/etc. on.

  13. Ya... I'll second that. I once asked a question about how many people
bought a big bore bike straight after they were off their restriction
and all they could talk about is how i was a troll and how they would
hose me off the road (all but one person who actually bought a 'busa
    after his restriction).

So thanks roger! You are one of the few decent people on this
    newsgroup!

Don't post too often, though, the place will lose all
    its character.

Yes, well done, Roger. You seem to be the only one who picked that the
answer he was looking for was "It may be illegal, but you can get away
with it.", allowing him to ignore the inconvenient truth.

Gareth: We are all truly sorry that the response to your
troll^H^H^H^H^H plea for information was not what you expected. Please
don't desert us, we need sensible questions like oyurs to give meaning
to our miserable lives (those of us as have lives).
