My whole body *apart* from my neck is deformed:)

I have to say that the Cold Killers neck tube I use is fucking brilliant. No
wind, no drafts, no nothing gets through it. It's lightweight and there's a
section that goes over your mouth which is a different material from the
rest of it which allows your breath to pass through unhindered.

I also have one of their balaclava's which has a fleece lining and a
windproof neck tube as an "all in one" type of thing. I can even get my
glasses on while I'm wearing the balaclava.

Sponsorship is optional but does make the For Sale section accessible.

I have the gaucho too. Both work well and make the 33 mile commute to
    Cardiff more comfortable.

My hands were fine in a pair of the same gloves (once I'd pushed the
connector home properly) today when it was sub zero all the time I was
riding. If you email the manufacturers they'll send you a new lead FOC
but if it's the connection on the glove side you're stuck with a
    repair.

Well worth £65 of anyones money.

Brilliant, thanks for all the helpful replies chaps. I ordered her a set
of the Oxford muffs. She has heated bar grips already ,but they keep
flattening the battery... hmmm. I might pop over and do a bit of rewiring
    as suggested.

    Cheers

I put the heated grips on for a few minutes to warm up the bars. Once
everything is toasty I turn off the grips as it gets too warm.

You wouldn't have done if you'd had a 300 mile round trip today. I
used pathan lobster mitts plus heated grips on the ride to Chester
then heated gloves and the grips turned off on the way home to see
which worked better and decided that a car is warmer than either of
    those options.

    Cheers.

I was a bit confused. The Tucano urbano web site lists the 323s
as the correct product for the RGS but advises that you need to remove
the hand protectors. Which I definitely don't want to do.

    319s it is.

I haven't been using the bike this winter as I default to the same view.
Last year I was rushing to get home ASAP to do the caring thing with
mother. Now she is incarcerated in a home I don't have the same time
pressures. If the traffic is stationary on the M4 IDGAF as I have radio
    4 and a heater.

Talking of which, one of my favourite graffiti was painted on a bridge
over the Cherwell in Oxford. "Punts are not for kissing in".

Don't forget you'll need a battery lead as well.

We're off to the bike show tomorrow and can pick you one up if a) you
want one and b) they've got some there.

The madness will continue and you'll end up buying the body warmer as
well because they really do rock. It's great when you're just starting
to feel a bit chilly and shift your body around a bit so a wave of
warmth goes through you. I hadn't used mine since I came back from
Germany in February and I'd forgotten how good they are.

Thanks, the lead's included according to the listing.
Heh. The rest of me's generally ok on the commute, I don't intend to do
it when it's really cold anyway. I've been taking the train recently.

    The Gerbings are a size smaller at 7.5 - the Exo's are a 9
and have always been slightly too big for me , leaving an air gap
    round me fingers.
If you still want them drop me a mail - addy is valid.

Personally I find that it's just the neck & underside of the chin that
freeze, so a tube or similar (I've got a freebie off Bike magazine and
a rather more elaborate skiing one. My helmets fit snugly enough that
any kind of balaclava would become uncomfortable quite quickly.

I'l defer to the idiots who ride to winter rallies, though.
