Well the latest fleabay purchase has arrived. A 2 into 1 header set for
an R100RS mono. Pleased that it's in better condition than claimed, in
fact the chrome is spotless and shiny. Just a fad to try.

I'm wondering about muffler choices. Obviously it has to be quite rorty
but not raucous and I'd like it to be short/ish. Supertrap went through
my mind but are there any good classic mega's out there folk can
    recommend.

TOG you had hunted down a stainless fabricator? Be quite nice to have
it copied in God's Own Metal.

WUN if you catch this, fancy a wee job? putting my Ultimate Source top
yoke on your jig such that you could mill a copy for FJ.

    Actually, yes.

    http://www.rsrtyres.co.uk/docs/exhausts.php

These people are on the edge of Croydon. They made up the stainless
header pipe extensions I needed for that old Z400 that I sold to
Petrolcan. I had to chop out the rotten balancer section, and needed to
extend the headers to fill the gap so that they linked up with the
    pattern silencers.

RSR knocked up a couple of said extensions, swaged them to slip over
the existing headers, and even put a slight bend in them so the
silencers kicked up at the right angle. And then a neighbour just
welded it all up. Lovely job, it was.

Until the bike got nicked from Petrolcan, of course. Snarl. I'm
convinced somebody had it because they needed the bits for a dead Z400
    they owned.

I don't get a great deal of time in the workshop these days. I'm happy
to have a measure up, but God knows when I'd get round to making the
    things.

Firstly, it would appear you have Priority Drift. Flown out the window it
    has ;o)
Secondly, sure once it's measured up I can get it re-fitted and then
    "whenever"

One of Blondie's tennants is an engineering company, I'll get her to ask if
it could be copied buckshee first.
