The 100GS PD is an excellent and properly built weapon. It is however
targetted at a very specific environment and not for the OP's
intentions.

The latest breed of sporty Boxers look rather good so it would be nice
if they got the quality and reliability back.

After Real Classic it's the best bike mag IMHO.

My R80ST (supermotard <snigger> version of the G/S) was one of the best
bikes I have owned. Only downside was the hard-as-nails seat.

My preference would be the slightly later R80/100G/S paralever, as the
seat was a lot comfier.

If I was told I could only have one bike from now until I passed away in
my sleep in 50 years time, it would be a late '80's/very early '90's
Beemer twin, which probably explains why I have an '89 R80 in the garage
