I made the assumption it would be someone supporting Hog's world view.

Turns out I was right. It's some bloke who was part of the installation of
a theocracy in Iran in 1979 now banging on about regime change. He wants to
replace martyrdom with mysticism according to his website
    http://www.sazegara.net/english/

"Chambers, mysticism: a state of reality hidden from ordinary human
understanding" which sums up Hog I suppose.

Try not to be so stupid.
It's a pretty rare account of someone in the company of Khomeni during
the flight from Paris at the beginning of the revolution and who
    witnessed what came next.
His personal foibles are here nor there.

Odd, how mad people don't dig satire. Even Thatcher *got* some of it...

"Today I have with me Farmer Giles from Home Farm in Gloucestershire.
    Good morning Farmer Giles."
    "Good morning."
    "You know cow pats..."
"Yes, I am aware of said substances emanating from a cow's backside."
    "That's your breakfast, that is."

I did, in reply to Wessie's reply.
It's a brief and rather unique memory of Khomeini's flight from Paris to
    Iran and events unfolding thereafter

Not exactly an insignificant piece of modern history
