AKA - The Most Northerly Rally in Britain A midsummer celebration. Summery ======= It was in Shetland, so not summery It was cloudy It was windy It doesn't go dark Scotland was nicer The ride through the Cairngorms, Trossachs and Borders is worth it. The rally ========= It was in a field There were no sound restrictions People drank a lot, and I *mean* a lot. 25 beer tokens were included in the price, and you could choose the container. Food was good (1 hot free meal a day) There was a lot of beer The bands were good Did I mention the amount of beer being drunk ? The 1st beer game lasted about 2 hours, rows of people drinking from glass wellingtons. Only 1 rule "You puke, you are out". Except the last 5 would not puke. So they had to play russian roulette to get to 1. The music stopped at 04:30. People were still drinking Breakfast started at 08:00 People were still drinking. It was the same people. Worth going ? To say "Been there, done that, go the Tshirt" - yes. If you are a deaf, insomiac, alcholic - yes. Right, off to find warmer rallies.
