  4. There is a thrid way.

Going back to the lockpicking thread you chug around your local town at
closing time looking for clamp kickers and offer to do it there and then
and there for dollars, or "Half Price for Cash" as it is known.

I for one don't care /what/ they call NSE or it's descendants, as I
long ago got fed up with the crap service and taking the chance of
accidentally sitting in a seat that a tramp has pissed on. And I speak
    from real experience.

Apparently it's a wonderful treat that 9 out of 10 trains arrive
nearly on time that means that during one weeks normal commuting two
of my trains can be expected to be later than that, usually meaning
that I'm going to miss my connection. That's why I don't use the rail
    network.

When they first brought private clamps into Edinburgh one of our drivers
removed said with the gas torch he happened to have (!). He did a few others
in the row of clamps too (private car park).
Nothing was ever heard of it.

I've had a look at clamps last week (as you do). Some have concealed clasp
padlocks, some have locking devices built in.
The latter are steel barrels, probably hardened so it's cobalt drills or
something. For both just lopping the legs off the clamp with an angle
    grinder looks easier.
I've been looking at battery grinders too ;o)

    "Be prepared" and all that.
I just bought a Clarke 910 jump start device which has a big battery and a
12V power socket. So thats getting the engine started sorted out. Who can
recommend a nice 12V angle grinder that will work from a cig lighter type
    socket.

"If you are a disabled motorist (or passenger) and you complain to, for
example, a supermarket that a non-disabled motorist has parked in a
disabled bay, an employee of the store could ask the driver to move
their car from the disabled bay but they will not be in a position to
    legally insist on it."

Given that it's private land I think Asda could chose only to have
people in red cars in the car park if they wanted to.

Do it properly. Take an elderly parent shopping, park in said space,
*then* have them on age discrimination. :)

That's what I would have expected the reaction to be. Surely it's the
shop owners property and if he wants to impose restrictions then he
can do? Just clamp the cunts if they park where they shouldn't.

Wouldn't you still fit into the parent/child remit, YTC?

Take a grandparent and game on...

That's the point. They'd clamp a car for 2 *adults* getting out of it,
but the reality is there would be a parent and child (exactly as most of
the spaces are labeled up) and then they're simply descriminationg on
    age.

  18. What's wrong with the traditional solution of side-stepping and sticking
    out a foot?

  19. Not much point faffing around with leads, etc. The DeWalt range has what
you need and you can get a 12V charger for in-car use.
