Re: Harley Davidson Dyna ride height

  1. As if a Canadien could. And what's with you Englanders putting double
l's in words all the time as if it were even remotely necessary?
    Waste of keystrokes, sez I.

1983 Honda CB250RS. This is the single cylinder 250 4-stroke with the
engine from the XL250 trail bike, but with 12V electrics.

It'll outrun most Harleys on a back road, is comfortable, reliable,
handles, stops, puts in great mpg and my old one is currently sitting
there with 192,000 miles on the clock after receiving minimal
maintenance over most of its lifespan. Mine was thrashed by me on a
daily 100 mile commute with no looking after whatsoever. It took 8
months of this to blow the original engine up, and a replacement lump
cost 30 quid. You'd spend that each day to replace the bits that fall
off a Harley in 100 miles.

Why buy the overweight, overpriced Harley?

  5. Don't give a damn about being out-run, if I want a race I'll hop on a
Daytona 955i. Haven't had a single bolt fall of the Hardley-Ableson
    in 40,000 miles.
I'll grant that the reliability isn't up to what should be expected
for the price, and I probably wouldn't buy another. But by Ged it's
my fucking bike, and I like it. It's reliable and comfortable, and
hauls a shitload of cargo, and I can maintain it in my own garage.
The frame and wheels and paint are solid and will last a long time.
AND, American pussy likes it A LOT! So there's something to be said
for the extra cost, especially for a single man in a small Western
town. So saddle up the buckin' bronc' and have a hootin' good time in
Joseph, Oregon! Good as a naughty night in Birmingham!

LOL. Billy has a point here Lozzo. You don't exactly look like your going
to pull a tasty bitch when you are on that CB250 do you?

Put the piece of shit in the fucking river where it belongs. Once it's
sunk and you can't see any air bubbles rising to the surface you can
throw the harley in as well.

  8. I've done over 900 miles in one day, on a dirt bike.

500-600 mile days I regard as commonplace.

    Your next point?

It's the shrub approach to diplomacy surfacing again.

I'd offer you somewhere to stay when you decide to visit the UK and
show us all how to ride but they don't give redneck turds passports do
    they?

I'm confused. I thought I had T as a punishment for having the BMW and
    the Harley..?

Tell that to Beelzebub and see what it gets you. I owned the Honda when
I started seeing her. Granted we aren't seeing each other any more, but
I don't own the Honda any more either, go figure.

Your argument appears to have gone <phut> Lozzo. ;-)

Anyway, back to the original subject. I also found that Dyna's ground out
on the right when attempting to ride them briskly round bends. The
standard solution is to saw off the sticky out bracket on the swinging arm
lower rail and fit a supertrapp silencer kit which runs higher up.

Having ridden a Dyna Harley 500 miles a day for a fortnight and since you
raise the comparison with your CB250, I know which I'd choose for comfort.
And I know which bike and rider combination would cross the line first
    too.

I know, it must be terrible for you, seeing all that crap Jap Aloomynuhm

Hardly fit Dunlops as standard? Man I hope your life insurance is up to
