Reassessment

Perhaps I was a bit premature in judging the assessment of the case in the
arrest of the Highland Park woman.. A clip from the video taken at the
scene, by the patrol unit has been aired, just now.. First I was wrong about
there being two arresting officers.. There were three.. In viewing the clip,
short as it was, I was impressed that this old lady fit the profile for the
desperate criminal that she must be.. The officers I saw would tip the
scales at well over 200 pounds.. sheesh.. there were only three of them.. No
telling what harm that old lady would have done to them, if they did not
handcuff her..Couldn't tell for sure, but none looked to be thirty years
old..Good police work, fellows.. Let that be a lesson for all these "old"
folks out there.. Don't do no "crimes" in my jurisdiction, we will
get'cha'.. In light of all the supporting posts, from all the "bikers" in
this newsgroup, defending this outstanding piece of police work, I have
decided that I must take another look at my own postion.. I have maintained
that some respect for her age, her career as a school teacher, and the fact
that she raised two fine sons, should have been a factor in this arrest of
this terror to the streets of Dallas.. Wrong.. Her career as a school
teacher must have been an abject failure.. Just look at some of the
responses in that other thread.. Sunny is all gushy and smoochy in praising
Steve Rothsteins defense of the incident.. Hell.. even ol' Bownse.. aka..
Mark Johnson, who we all KNOW is a Mason (although,he didn't know what was
in Waco) has pointed out that this old lady has exploited her wealth and
status to avoid paying a fine.. Albert Nurick has also articulately voiced
his approval.. Haven't heard much from some of the other lettered geniuses,
but I'm sure they share the common view.. Well.. now, I have decided this
old woman is a genuine "fraud".. Who knows.. she could even be an Arab
terrorist in disguise.. Obviously, her failure as a teacher should be
questioned.. Just reading some of these opinions from the "bikers" emphasize
her failures.. She FAILED to instill respect and/or gratitude in her
students.. This is disgraceful.. And you know what. we are better off and
safer in the knowledge that she has been brought before the bar of justice
by three officers dedicated and consumed by their devotion to duty .. Do not
be deceived by her pleasant and compliant behavior.. This is obviously such
a desperate and dangerous fugitive from justice, that we have all been
"saved" from a reign of terror, like we can't even imagine.. **** this.. all
you two faced, hypocritcal sons of bitches that condone the treatment of
this woman are sorry as dirt.. You post your nonsense on this newsgroup and
mewl about your bullshit .. When you are challenged.. you sorry pieces of
shit gang up to declare a war with someone.. You people can't even look
yourself in the face in a mirror.. Anyone who defends this kind of police
work is detestable.. and deserves to live in the police state that we have
become.. You deserve to be manhandled by some goddamed gestapo cop, on the
side of the road.. You people are sick bastards with nothing more than a
facade for dignity, or conscience..

Not a thing of importance, IceMan.. The case of Harriet "Dolly" Felton's
arrest and some of the reactions to it is all that I am "soap boxing"
about.. Good to see you, as usual..

Might bring you up to speed just a bit if you'd read some of the posts about
this incident .. As it turns out, Harriet "Dolly" Felton is 97 years old..
She is a retired school teacher who is quite a little character in her own
right.. After a long career in the teaching profession, she has taught
thousands of our children, she is retired and still living in the same house
for 49 years of her life.. She has raised two fine sons, one a physician and
the other a respected judge .. She is still active in her community
affairs.. She was stopped within two blocks from her home.. arrested for the
first traffic ticket she had ever received in her long life .. She was
handcuffed and transported to jail .. Today at noon, the chief of Police
announced that he was changing the policy of his department regarding the
discretion of his officers handling traffic warrants .. She was interviewed
on the Today Show and she said she had received a ticket .. I've left out
quite a lot.. That is the details .. Real desperate character.. without a
doubt.. Did I forget to mention.. damn.. us old people sure need attention,
don't we ? The original ticket she got was for an expired inspection
sticker and she never took care of that, or the ticket.. danged altzheimer's
shit anyway.. I gotta see about it..
