Reccomend a home accounts software package?

    I use this for payroll stuff. Not that we have many payrolls; its mostly
    subcontractors. I like it.

    Me too! The 'deluxe' version though. Just checked & my earliest
    transaction is 24/3/95.
    I've not tried any later versions.

  8. Quicken is no longer available , Intuit have merged or dropped many
    of its packages .

    They do a starter package for around £80.00 last time i looked but it
    really is basic.

    If your looking for a package that gives you reporting facilities
    then your looking at spending a few hundred pounds.

    Wouldnt it be easier to create a spreadsheet for home accounts.

    I wrote my own program to do this kind of stuff back in '92. It handled
    recurring payments and stuff, but only had 1 account. Once I cleared my
    overdraft, I soon lost interest in it. I knew I should have stuck it on a
    shareware site.
