    Horses for courses though eh?

Like with our daughter. This scoot came up cheap (known, from a mate)
exactly at the same time as we were looking around for *something* to
get her started on two wheels. We didn't know if she'd like the whole
idea of riding on the road (she didn't want car driving lessons) but
she'd spent quite a lot of time on her PW50 then TY80 as a kid and
riding pillion with me so we had a pretty good idea she would.

We also knew that if she did like the whole idea she'd probably have
to take her test on a geared bike, so to have the choice afterwards.

She has ridden a CG125 at the riding school for a couple of hours and
wants to ride the CB "Two Fifty" at some point but is reluctant to
sell the scoot 'because it's so nice'. She couldn't believe that not
all motorbikes had proper fuel gauges (let alone all the other
instruments her Skipper has) or large places to put stuff without
having a box on the back or panniers etc?

She does want to ride a 'motorbike', partly because of the
stereotypical image it portrays (being a 'proper biker' etc) and
partly she's used to having a tank between her knees so a step through
feels a bit weird but I think for most folk these days, her being on
two wheels is good enough to count as 'a biker' (it seems to be the
    case at High Beech etc).

Much to her pleasure she's also had some nods from passing 'bikers'
and at least she's not a ped rider nor pizza delivery nutta!

So, if it can't be a 'scoot', can it be an MZ, Harley, C90, a BM,
Cruiser or trailie etc? Or to count it be a sports bike 600cc+ ?

    All the best ..

The ped boys of today are the ZX10-R riders of tomorrow.
