Because that's where I'll be working as from tomorrow morning at 8am.

'General Useful Bloke Who Does Everything' is my unofficial title until
we decide what my official one is. Basically the owner, who is a close
friend, approached me and asked me to take his place in the shop and
workshop while he gets on with actually running and building the
business from the backroom. So I'll mainly be selling bikes, kit and
parts, but also working on the tools in the workshop and doing a bit of
everyone's job and making myself indispensible as usual.

So, buy your new or used bikes and parts and any riding kit from me,
you bastards. There's a good coffee lounge inside the premises too.

PS, The no cunts rule does not apply as long as they spend money.

Excellent stuff. If I ever get up to moving up there, I shall gladly
frequent said emporium. Unless you can do Triumph recall work?

Well indeed. Shame it's Kawasaki and they don't make a bike worth buying all
    the same.

It would have been soooo nice if said friend had been a BMW main dealer.

    Well done.

If you're near the parts counter and someone asks for a soft link for
a ZX10R chain don't do what the other wanker did and tell them
Kawasaki don't do one because you'll lose customers that way. I spent
about £150 buying online at Cornwall Kawasaki Centre after that little
    gem.

It didn't stop me buying an oil filter when I was there because I
wanted to change it that afternoon but the other parts could wait so I
decided to spend my hard earned elsewhere. I already knew Kawasaki did
one and I wanted a genuine part rather than just buy a generic link
and hope it was ok so thought I'd give them a go after you'd mentioned
them before and it's always good to support your local dealer.

I meant the well done bit btw, I'm glad you've got yourself another
job and hope it works out well for you but that bloke was a prize
    wanker.

I will be working on parts, and everywhere else as well.

If you know what chain you have, and it's always stamped on the
sideplates, why not just order a soft link for that make, grade and
size. It doen't matter a **** whether it arrives in a DID bag or a
Kawasaki one, aside from a DID one will likely cost a fifth of the
    price.

You can't just buy a generic soft link cos all the manufacturers have
different pin sizes and the grades of chain are different - everybody
    knows that

By generic I meant one from the like of Busters where you don't really
know what you're getting so to me the obvious solution is to buy
genuine, it wasn't any dearer and I knew exactly what I was getting. I
didn't need a new chain so wasn't going to spend the extra when a new
link would see the job done.

I posted about this when it happened and to say I was genuinely
surprised when the guy serving me didn't even look it up to see if
Kawasaki sold one is an understatement. Seriously, I went in to buy
an oil filter plus order the last of the bits I needed to fix the bike
so when the guy told me Kawasaki don't supply soft links on their own
(I already knew they did) I buggered off without ordering the other
    parts.
