Redistricting update

  1. Senator Ratliff has listed his name as opposed to Redistricting making 11
senators to do so. He said this would save several Republican Senators from
voting for it who don't want to but feel obliged to do so. (Kinda like those
who refused to pass our BIlls this session huh?) Lt. Governor Dewhurst has
said he will probably change the rules so only a simple majority can bring a
    Bill to the
Floor. And I thought he was doing a better job than Rick Perry and the House
Speaker. There simply weren't any good leaders this session.

I did read that the Lt. Gov is seriously thinking about bypassing the rules,
the article noted that he was leaving all options open. The democrats also
noted that they are leaving all options open. Could it be we see a sequel
    to The Great Escape .....

Thanks for the update, Elmer.. Looks like this re-districting fiasco might
be going on for a long time.. On a lighter note, maybe each cloud has a
silver lining.. The turnouts represented at each of the committee and
sub-committee meeting in Dallas indicates that voters are becoming more
energized and motivated to fight the corruption of our administrations in
Austin and Washington.. Although, I must admit, I was rather disappointed
that more of the motorcycling brothers seemed to prefer the socializing
activities in Stroker's to the history making events taking place 5 minutes
away in the university center.. I only noticed one brother in colors at the
other meeting, one week later.. At any rate, the voter's did seem to make a
difference .. I am given to understand, our Sputnik made a helluva speech in
Waco and again in Austin.. Too bad, more of us can't seem to be motivated
until OUR ox is being gored.. Thanks again for the update.. Keep us posted
    on the developments..

    Your friend in Irving
