Oh, here we go again. People who also measure 0 mph to 60 mph times or
    poor people, you choose.

I think my old 748 was worse when I ran it on a shed load of race
parts. It used to spit petrol out of the pipes if you weren't giving
it a reasonable level of abuse so trying to be careful regarding mpg
    was a no-hoper.

I don't know my bikes 0-60 time within 5 seconds and I'm not *that*
poor but I do know roughly what it'll do to a tank of fuel so I also
know approximately what it'll do per gallon for different styles of
    riding.

Anyone who does a trackday and doesn't know their bikes expected fuel
consumption is a nobber of the highest order and is likely to have at
least one short session over the day. Team ukrm even knew the fuel
figures for the race bike unless I'm very much mistaken.

**** me Pip, I thought the Zephyr was thirsty, and that goes to about 120
before the old sphyncter starts to twitch.
Heh, as I found out on the M42 in the rain and roadworks after EOSM 2004.

Prevents petrol muppet moments on the roads. I guess that Loz was
refering to exact mpg figures touted by some folk. Although riding a
bike a lot gives you a good idea of miles per fill up, which is all the
level of accuracy you really need.
Prevents petrol muppet moments on a track day too.

Every litre counted at every fillup, guv'nor. Every litre accounted
for excepting YTC's stint and that unfortunate episode at Oulton, with
their new tarmac in the pit lane.

Haha, I'm sure I've told you the story before. It was actually 2250ukp
cheaper than it had been retailed at the week before, but still too much
for what it was. Like I said, I must have been some kind of ****.

Seems unlikely. Probably a fake to corroborate the memory implants. I

Neither was what I would consider cutting edge when I bought them. The
9R was 4 yrs old and the Gixer 3. Both had been trounced in the
performance stakes by the time I got my scrawny arse on them.

I once got to reserve in 109 miles on the ZZR11. A quiet Sunday morning,
a deserted péage, a ferry to catch. It would, quite frankly, have been
    churlish not to.
