Remember Tiny Bannister ??

In 2002 I posted the details of a prolific and remorseless conman who
had done time following our encounter with him. He had then been
released, been the subject of a Channel 4 Documentary on the subject
of "Love Rats" and gone to ground. An appeal went into the smalls of
BSH for his whereabouts at the same time I posted from other
    interetsed parties.

Anyway, if you search the group you'll find the original thread for
    the gory details.

I just wanted to issue a heads up to people living in the South coast
area - we saw Tiny Bannister today at Ashley Heath car boot sale, in
the West Moors/Three Legged Cross area,(Bournemouth) plying his usual
trade more than likely ie flogging off ill gotten gains, and
surprisingly shortly after he spotted us watching him he packed up his
Ford Escort van, white, registration number Q 125 PGR and made a swift
exit. The van is apparently for sale, and has a mobile phone number on
a sign on the rear window which we did not manage to get down.

We did telephone the police, but we do not know if they followed it up
    - his main advantage seems to be that different counties police forces
    do not communicate effectively.

So a word to the wise, if this tall, fat, bald, tattooed (am I allowed
to say ugly?) alleged biker calling himself Tiny, or David, or Adrian,
or Mitch, tries to get involved in your life or that of anyone you
know, please be aware he is a career criminal and you associate with
    him at your own risk.

    Ta muchly.

Interesting. Back in the 80's I knew a bloke called Tiny who sounds very
similar. He was living in Bolton at the time but had to leave somewhat
in a hurry. Wonder if its the same guy.

If he's been released, why do the police want to know if you've seen him?

Yebbut he came across more as a channel 4 docudrama on the failure of
care in the community rather than a scrote.

Heh, that wasn't him, similar personality though. Wonder if all 'Tinys'
    are like that.

If he has nothing to worry about why did he leave so quickly when he
    saw us ?

And as far as I know he gets released on licence or with probation
conditions then commits crimes and dissappears. As he has a record of
150 offences and 119 convictions odds are he's currently wanted for
something. And also I don't want him operating in our home town area
doing over some poor unsuspecting single mum. If we've told the police
he's in the area it feels like we've done something positive. Not that
it will probably make a blind bit of difference. However we live in
    hope :)

This guy has been known to operate in Lancashire, Yorkshire and Leeds,
so it's likely he has been spotted in Bolton - and a hasty exit sounds
    likely for him.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble for some poor hapless soul or trying
to exact revenge (though it's a nice thought) but I would like to see
him prevented from striking again and if putting this up on here makes
people aware then it's served a purpose.

Sadly no pictures - there was one in a back issue of BSH in the ads
section in 2002 - if you have a pile in your loo it's worth a flick
while waiting for nature to take its course.

Cheers for the interest. I will be trying to keep this bumped for a
while, though hopefully he's seen sense and quit the county - we do
have a few friends who would like to meet him ;)
