    Hi folks.

    Just a reminder that we have started double flybuys in NSW, today Dec 21
    and they'll be on offer until midnight on Jan 1.

    "The scheme is designed to encourage safe and responsible driving. Along
    with financial penalties, demerit points provide a strong incentive to
    drive within the law." quote from RTA site.

    Anybody who has just got a new black, Triumph Street Triple, I encourage
    you to go out and enjoy it.....

    The rest of you, if you can't be good, be careful.

    regards,
    CrazyCam

  3. Straight from the horse's mouth, RTA website:
    <http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/rulesregulations/penalties/demeritpoints/index.html?hfid=ddemerits>
    "Double demerits apply for speeding and seatbelt offences from Friday 21
    December to Tuesday 1 January inclusive."

    From the West:
    <http://www.thewest.com.au/aapstory.aspx?StoryName=446272>
    "which kicks off on Friday morning and ends on January 4" (AAP)

    From drive.com.au:
    <http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleDetail.aspx?ArticleID=46604&vf=26>
    "which kicks off on Friday morning and ends on January 4" (AAP)

    Either AAP is wrong, or the RTA is wrong.

    At first, I'd say to trust the RTA. On second thoughts, it IS the RTA, and
    I used to work for a firm where we had access to AAP data (and they were
    right), so you might want to hold off on that till it can be better verified...

    As a matter of interest fixed cams are being arranged and installed in
    the oddest places about Brisbane , if I am correctly informed there are
    at least a doxen more to be tested close to the central city in places
    like mains road overpass and lotsa of places where common traffic speeds
    require drivers to flow instead of brake.

    and my ages matches my year of birth

    But sadly ( and many here will agree ) I have not grown a bit wiser with
    age...........actually a bit grumpier if anything

    Well, I just phoned the RTA, spoke to a Margaret, and she assures me
    that the web-site is right.

    The unsurprising corollary to this is that the radio is wrong.
