Oh I think with 3 wheels and a Calor cylinder it could be excellent. I have
a 2 bedroom and living area Khyam too.

    I can't.

riding in the cold, knowing that you're going to be even colder at the
end of it, in a field in fucking Germany.

    It's for fucking idiots.

it's indicative that Bonwick is the sharpest tool in that particular
    box.

Hordes of people ride hundreds of miles to cross to France for a weekend
then ride all the way home again. How is it different!
Heated clothing and a bit of planning ahead on the camping front negates the
    cold.
Thee like me isn't beyond a bit of frolicking in the snow.

The art of it is dealing with ice and snow encrusted roads. IME this is the
domain of Outfits and *small* trail bikes. Even on STB you crash a lot.

Or you could rely on the roads being cleared.

It's a long weekend away on the bikes with added booze and playing in the
snow. And just because the weather's cold, doesn't mean that people with
the proper kit won't be nice and toast warm. As an example, the notoriously
nesh Champ is known for buggering off to the wilds of Russia for
    heli-snowboarding.

Riding there naked on MZs is not part of the plan.

But how do you think he travels there? Not by bike, that's for sure.
And once arrived, can you see him staying in a tent? Don't be daft.

I'm with darsy on this, and I probably spend more time in the snow
than anyone else on this group - no fucking way would you get me
camping in a field in the middle of winter.

The point was that we have adequate technology to hand that will allow us to
remain comfortable in the coldest conditions.

    What's not to like?

We've got nearly all the original suspects roped in now and you know
that watching Burnt with a chainsaw (1) is going to be fun and then
when you add petrol and a lighter you've got even more entertainment.

    (1) He reckons he's taking one and I see no reason not to believe him.
