1987 cbr600, 20k mi. I've got a Clymer ('87-'89) and an online scan of a Honda ('90+) manual. Followed the instructions, disconnected cables, etc. There is a brace of 4 Keihin carbs. Each carb connects to one intake port via a rubber or plastic hose segment with a screw-clamp on the port end and another at the carb end. I've loosened all the screw-clamps, lubed what I could with wd-40, etc. To my knowledge, the brace of carbs should wiggle off with hand pressure. I apply reasonable pressure: the carbs won't come off. I figger if I wail on it or apply a pry-bar, I'm gonna break something. Note that the brace of carbs have been firmly mounted for 20 years. Anybody wrestled such an alligator? Any suggestions? Thx, Puddin' "Mit der Dummheit kaempfen Goetter selbst vergebens!" -Friedrich Schiller
