Rennsports Streets Discontinued...

Discussion in 'Bay Area Bikers' started by Larry xlax Lovisone, Aug 7, 2003.

  1. OK Metzeler... you discontinued the best tire for Mr.RC45... namely the
190/50/17 and the 120/70/17 Rennsport Streets... now I gots to stock
pile 36,000 miles worth... I hope you bring back this great tire in this
size because I feel all others are just rim protectors in comparison...

Yeah, but in a cool, dry, dark place, 4 years shouldn't be much
    of a problem.

You have entirely too much spending cash if you can keep THAT many spare
tires laying around your garage. :)

I always had to scrape to even get ONE quality set of tires, never mind FIVE
    sets plus an extra rear.

    Cheers,

You realize that you're talking about a guy that just bought an
    airplane, right? Non-flying at that.

If a boat is a hole in the water you fill with money, an airplane is a
hole in the air that sucks all the money out of you ;)

So the trick is to own one of each - of approximately the same value,
and store them equidistant from your wallet. Hopefully the forces will
balance out, and your money will stay near you.

    See attached vector diagram.

  10. OK Jr Pudknocker... show me a Metzeler with 4% tread groves in 190/50/17
that beats their own RS1 and RS2 in a tire shoot and last 6K miles...

Yup, and if it has tits, wheels, or wings it'll give you problems ;)

Problem is that when you throw a woman into the equasion you wind up
with an unbalancing force that you can't get far enough away from
unless you want to live in the boat or plane ;)

  14. Well considering you ride like my grandfather did back in WWII, you
should be able to get 6k miles out of a set of racing slicks.
