I'm currently riding an aging Kawasaki GPX 750, which while reliable is
    slowly falling to bits.
I commute 10 miles to work every day with the odd blast around at the
    weekend.
I want a new, lighter, smaller capacity motorbike that can cruise at (or at
least reach) 70mph and can shrug off being used in all weathers.

    Any recommendations?
    Thanks.

Second hand CBR600F. Go for the last of the pre-fuel injection models.

I've had five of them altogether and they all easily withstood ignorance
    and abuse through several winters.

I used to be a bike nut in the mid eighties and early nineties, but now
I've never even *heard* of some of the manufacturers out there!
Can you still get What Bike? magazine - cos I need it!

I think the Gixxer (Which appears to be a Suzuki GSXR?) is a little OTT
    for riding to work :)

The indicators have stopped working on my bike now, I think it's trying
    to tell me something...

Paul, be a good chap eh and **** off and read the ukrm ffaq. Pay
particular attention to the bit about top posting and how we really
    don't like it.

    Thanks Mike.
Any specific makes/models you would recommend for starters?
