    To the litre sportsbike riders.

    Seriously. I dun.no.how.you.do.it.

I've just been out on the Trumpet (675) for the first time in while.
Prior to that I've been riding the B6 most of the time.

I think the total amount of time I can use full throttle on it is about
    0.001mS.

I used the GSXR for the first time in 6 months today. 6 months of
    purely riding the Bandit.

"**** me, was it always this small?"
    "Those mirrors really are shit"
"Does this actually have any suspension?"
    "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
    "Neeeeeeeeooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"

I took our new model Z1000 demo bike[1] out from Bedford to Northampton
this afternoon to register a few new bikes at DVLA that we've sold,
what a lovely bike. I only say that because I was running it in and
couldn't really go above 70, but it's great at playing in the lower
    reaches of the available power.

[1] In the sexy white and orange colour scheme.

    He's not the only one.

I told TOG I'd be taking the Tenere to France because I've not road
tested the 10R since it's big re-build and it was only afterwards that
I realised exactly how pathetic that was.

I'll tax it and give it a blast on the bank holiday Monday after we
get back from France so stand by for a post suggesting beers in
    Stratford on Avon.

I dont know the exact figures but racers on the TT course use full
throttle for approx 90% of the lap.

Litre bikes its down at 40% or so.

Champ will be along in a second to either confirm this or demand exact
figures and where they were first published.

One thing I've noticed on the busa is that quite often when I think I'm
accelerating at full throttle I discover that I'm only about 1/2 way
there and a further twist delivers warp speed.

I found myself heading off down a Cheltenham street on one wheel
yesterday having gone from about 1/4 throttle to 1/2.

    Yep.

I reckon I can tax it and give it a quick spin to make sure nothing
else is fucked when I get home on the Sunday then make Stratford for a
    late lunch on the Monday.

Depending on who else fancies a blast around the countryside the venue
could be changed because the ride to Stratford is pretty tedious from
Bedford and the food is decent at the Great Western in Aynho
(Deddington) Oxfordshire plus I might be able to persuade the likes of
Champ to stray out for an hour or two. It's on the B4031 which is the
'back road' I take if I'm heading over to the west midlands
(Cheltenham) so it'd be an entertaining ride from Bath if you fancied
it. Adie likes the food there so she should be easy to persuade that
    it's a good idea.

I retain fond memories of pointing an index finger and knocking out a
KSB for the merkin guards at RAF Croughton a few years ago then
watching them scatter all over the place before I suddenly remembered
the cunts were probably armed and I really ought to **** off a bit
    sharpish.

Just how savage is a Busa at full throttle, by all accounts they sound
    almost unridable. :)

Like some kind of genius I seem to have booked the thou in to have its
clutch sorted again [1] over the bank holiday weekend [2]. And the RGV's
untaxed, unMOTed and possibly missing coolant. Bum. Bum bum bum bum bum.

[1] Having told them it was fucked and slipped under load in the top
half of the rev range, when it was in for a service they decided it was
just badly adjusted. And then after calling me to tell me it was ready,
and while I was making the hour and a bit journey down to collect it,
they took it for a test ride and found that, hey, guess what, it's
fucked and slips under load in the top half of the rev range. Gah!

[2] Apparently they can't just get a set of plates and do the
replacement on that model, they have to take them out, measure them,
order specific replacements. Three elapsed days. Gah! Gah!
