Well someone may be in for a nice treat then, if all goes horribly
    wrong.

They are horrifically expensive, but it's a definite bargain cos I've
been after one for ages and was prepared to pay 400 for a used one. My
new roll-cab retails at just under a grand, I paid 230 quid for an
immaculate used one just before xmas.

These are my xmas pressie to myself with a bit of 'I've been very ill
so I'm cheering myself up' thrown in for good measure.

I was thinking of selling the old Snap-On 3 drawer top chest I'm
currently using, but I will still need something to chuck in the back
of the race van on weekends. For what I'd get for the old one I
wouldn't be able to buy a decent enough cheapie so may as well keep it
and use that as my race box.

  13. And because humping the old boxes around places too much strain on the
    affected groin area?

  14. I picked up an identical one, in immaculate condition a few months
back for £127, mind you, I did have to go from somewhere called
"Leeds" to another place called " Manchester" to get it. I was up
    there 'though.
I am in the market for a roll cab to sit it on now....

I will most certainly need someone else to lift this into the car when
I collect it tomorrow morning. There's no way I'll manage to lift one
end of it with someone on the other end, even empty. This kidney stent
is the most uncomfortable and sometimes painful thing I have ever
experienced; I include broken bones in that.

That's silly cheap money for a 9 drawer box.

    That would explain it.
The guy who sold me my KRA2007 roll-cab had quite a few of them for
sale, all immaculate. I'll dig his details out.

  18. Got to concur, albeit I managed to pass mine within a few hours. Never,
ever known pain like it. The Doctor was a bit worried that I might be
pegging out, which is why she bundled me into the car and drove me to
    the horsh-pittle.

    I can't pass mine, it's between 12mm and 15mm diameter, which is why I
collapsed just after xmas and spent three days in hospital. It was
partially blocking the ureter which was giving me a problem with the
kidney being unable to properly pass urine to my bladder. I collapsed
again in huge amounts of pain a couple of weeks ago and was taken into
hospital for another couple of days where I had an op to have a kidney
stent fitted so the stone couldn't block the ureter completely, which
is what it had done. The stent itself is an awful thing to have, I can
feel it there all the time and I'm on drugs to control my bladder and
painkillers. At first I couldn't believe just how painful the after op
feeling was, because there's only one place they can enter your body in
that region without cutting you open - that's where they put a
catheter, then a scope, then the stent, so you can imagine how sore it
is afterwards. I pissed almost pure blood for 6 days after, but it
    slowed off after that.

When I take a piss now it's like someone is squeezing my left kidney
very hard, and I'm taking a lot of pisses because the stent makes me
feel like I have to even when I know I'm drained. Added to that the
docs have told me to drink at least 3 litres of water a day to keep the
    kidney flushed clean.

It's hell, but I have less than a month to go before they give me
ultrasound treatment to shatter the stone into tiny bits I'll be able
to pass naturally[1], and then the stent will come out in another short
    op a little while later

[1]One disadvantage of being blessed is the stone chips will have
    further to travel.

I get the impression from your post that this is a bargain?

Fucking hell, if true, then I claim the pikey crown of pikeyville!!
The CB cost less than that to buy, fix, mot, insure, tax and renew rear
    tyre.

Hmmm, maybe im still not in the "real world" of biking in that I
haven't had enough experience of having different bikes and using them
and judging them to see if I can finally settle on one before I die????
Paging Nige, Paging Nige to the ..........[1]

[1]acksherly never mind, I need to have a bike more than 2 months to
    suss it out :)
