    We had a good Ride.
Weather was so unusual, saturday early it was 48*, started out with lots
of leather, but time we got to Shreveport, we were taking off layers. I
know ya all have done this.
Got to Natchitoches, and brother it was about hot, but lovely blue
    skies.

We didn't know what we were getting into, they were having a ''Jazz
Festival'', of which attracked a bunch of Bikers, of which was an added
    feature.

By the time the music really got to going, it was cold again! (dern
    spring time, heehee.)-------grinning-------

We ended up about 830PM at a little ole Biker bar....and all types of
Riders and Motorcycles were there....and it was fun.
We get a kick out of, how Riders look, and what they wear. You would of
thought some were ''outlaws'', but when we talked to em', some were
bankers, plumbers, insurance agents, and I don't know what
all.....smile....one never knows who's under a hellMet, or a dooRag, eh?
That's one of the entertaining parts of a gathering of motorcycle
folks....gals and guys......and what they ride.

We almost made the mistake of riding just a piece, around the busy area,
without hellMets, but It dawned on me, Lousiana has themselves a
    bonified Helmet law, they do.

Left this morning, and hooked em' north on 49, and cruised, on to
shreveport, and our daughter and SonLaw, took I20 west, to go home to
    Forney.

Our Round trip was about 450.
My face was red'ish, from the sun and wind.....when we got Home.

A helmet is only required there if you're under 17 years of age.

Wrong... Louisiana has a Helmet Law.. If you ride in that state, you will
wear a helmet or get a ticket.. There are no exclusions, that I've read in
    the law..

When one observes every type Biker pull in, and back the Bike into the
curb, and wearing a Helmet, etc, then they must know what they're
    talking about.

Not one rider, did we notice, was wearing only a DewRag, looking cool.
And yes for the most part, they were all grown

Didn't know about the helmet law there. Moved to Texas from there a year
and a half ago. Luckily got out before Blanco was elected.

Yessir... seems like that governor was partial to a helmet law and got that
puppy passed.. Someone reported that quite a few Bikers gathered in Baton
Rouge to protest it, and even invited a few of the Texican Bikers to
participate.. When the Texicans showed up, they found the Louisiana Bikers
were all wearing their helmets during their little protest.. Read kinda like
some of the Texicans left in disgust or something..

Anyway.. don't ride to Louisiana without your helmet unless you want a
    ticket..
